Summer fun

This summer went by entirely to fast!!!!! Our family did manage to get some fun in though.

In June Grandpa and Grandma went fishing with Leann and her kids at the Herriman fishing pond.[that's where us city folk fish] We had KFC and fished. Grandpa spent the majority of the time fixing lines and re-baiting hooks but he was very patient and seemed to enjoy the evening we had to bring him a plate of food down by the water so he would actually take time to eat. The kids had a ball!!! Grandma even got a hook wet.

JULY
The family manged to get some big fun into the summer in July [thanks to Kenny going on a mission]. Neil arranged for the family to stay at a ranch house in Horse Valley [near Richfield, Utah] . We stayed a few days and we sneaked in some fishing at Mill Meadow. [I caught a 1 and 1/2 pond brown trout with Parker's Spiderman fishing pole] We rode four wheelers all over the place. Neil had two and Carl and Leann brought their two. That was the first time Sheila and her girls had been on the ATVs and even McKenzie had a few rides. She couldn't stop smiling and making happy noises. That right there makes buying and owning these little gems worth while.
We went swimming at the Wayne High school pool. Mandy rented and reserved it for the fam one night. The water was cold but we played water basketball, dunked a few people and a few brave and daring souls including Grandpa Banner, Uncle Neil and Uncle Carl jumped, dove and belly flopped off the diving board. Yikes!!!!!
We even ventured into Capital Reef National Park and played in the falls. There had been a flash flood the day before so the water was running with red sand and mud [ the water is usually crystal clear] but that didn't stop us from swimming, splashing and catching little bottom feeding sucker fish with Uncle Neils minnow net. On the way home we stopped to look at all the Indian drawings on the walls of the canyon. VERY COOL!!!
ON Sunday we all packed into the Loa ward chapel to hear Kenny speak before his mission. After church we met at the park for a luncheon. Good Luck Kenny we are all proud of you and will continue to pray for you and your family and those you'll teach in Mexico.

Another happy moment this summer is when cute little Katie, Natalie and Adams baby happened on the scene. She came in a bit early and got every ones attention and prayers. She is beautiful healthy and happy and we are grateful!

Rochelle and Brent are still in Florida and in the begining of the summer Their amazing Sarah returned home from her mission in California. One home and one to go. Elgin will be returning home this fall. Sarah is teaching art classes and is working on getting some of her writing published [we all have our fingers crossed]. So far this hurricane season they are all ok in the middle of it all.
